Theatre Open Day
At New Era we’ve had murders, mysteries and marriages, ghosts and gangsters, war and witchcraft, detection and deceit. How is it all done? Come and find out.
Start in our foyer where you can see our New Era Theatre Exhibition looking at events in and around the theatre over the last 40 years. Go behind the kitchen door and find a lively display about the sets and props used in our productions (and enjoy tea and cake!) From here you can begin a behind-the-scenes tour: peep into the wings and see how the backstage area is organised, then go upstairs to see and sample our costume store.
However, the real excitement of live theatre awaits you in the auditorium …
